At Oakfields, our Key Stages take children from the age of 3 years old, all the way through to 11. The youngest children here attend our Nursery, where learning is play-based and focusses on three core development areas; Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development.

Next step on the Oakfields Preparatory journey is our Pre-Preparatory. The curriculum in Pre-Prep is more structured than in Nursery. However, there is still a real emphasis on enjoyment with students being given ample opportunity to express themselves. Pre-Prep sees pupils introduced to new subjects such as Music, P.E and Spanish.

Our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes build on the excellent educational foundation laid by our early years team. Our bespoke curriculum delivers a broad range of subjects from forest school to non-verbal reasoning in KS2. Building on the Cognita way we ensure our curriculum builds, character, global awareness and academic outcomes – these are at the heart of everything we do.
