Enrichment trips
Learning at Oakfields extends far beyond the classroom. Our carefully planned trips and visits give pupils the chance to see, experience and explore the wider world, bringing their learning to life. Whether it’s visiting museums and galleries, exploring historic landmarks, attending theatre performances or taking part in hands-on workshops, every trip is designed to inspire curiosity and broaden horizons.
These experiences not only deepen subject knowledge but also build confidence, independence and a sense of adventure. By the time our pupils leave Oakfields, they take with them not just strong academic skills, but a wealth of memories and life experiences that will stay with them for years to come.

Instrumental Excellence.
In addition to curriculum Music, we offer our children the opportunity to learn an instrument by taking individual lessons from our team of experienced and dedicated, professional peripatetic teachers.
Alongside more traditional strings and piano, we also offer lessons in singing for musical theatre, guitar (both classical and rock) and drums. Children are encouraged to enter for graded exams from all the top musical examination boards.
We have a whole school choir that meets weekly during lunchtime, providing opportunities for our instrumentalists to perform throughout the year in assemblies, concerts, and formal events such as our Christmas Carol Concert.
Our trips
Residential trips
For our older pupils, residential trips are a highlight of the Oakfields journey. Spending several days away from home builds independence, nurtures friendships, and provides an exciting challenge. From outdoor activity centres to cultural city stays in Spain, these experiences encourage pupils to push their boundaries and discover what they’re truly capable of.
